You have to do a 3 page write-up and a proposed modus operandi on the topic of Transnational Terrorism.
1) 3 page Write-up (20 marks)
Imagine yourself as a leader of a terrorist network called the ‘Al-Dunearnite’. You and several key members of the network are busy discussing your next target. In your write-up, you have to include several important details such as:
I) Your name (very important)
2) the name of the target
3) the specific location of the target.
4) the type of target
5) explain and justify the impact of the attack on the target. You must include a thorough explanation on the SOCIAL, ECONOMIC and POLITICAL impact of the attack on your chosen target
2) Proposed modus operandi (mode of operation) (20 marks)
In the proposed modus operandi, you have to include a detailed explanation of how you are going to carry out your attack. You must include a map of the target and the surrounding area. You can present your modus operandi in any creative manner. (e.g. drawings, models, computer graphics ete)
Note:
• Assignment is due on the first week of Term I next year. Marks will be deducted for
late submissions. After the second week of Term 1, 1 would not entertain any more submissions i.e. you will get a zero.
• This is an individual assignment Please attempt it on your own effort. Also, do not copy from your friends because I can know if you did. Without hesitation, I would give a zero for any duplicate assignments.
• Do not cut and paste any information from any resources. You must phrased or re-write the information in your own words. I have a software that can check for plagiarism.
You must acknowledge the resources of your information. The marks for this assignment would be counted in Term 1 CA
The person with the highest scoring assignment from each class will have their work displayed during the 2009 Learning Festival.

You are required to find relevant information to support/justify your selection. You are to include the following points in your write-up:
1. Use the Internet to do a simple search of relevant pictures to support your selection (for both developed and less developed country). Write down the name of the selected countries. [2 marks]
2. Describe the features/evidence found in the pictures to justify your selection (e.g. evidence to show that the country is either a developed/less developed country).

3. What are the indicators that enable a country to be identified as either a developed or less developed country? [10 marks]
